The business model of Fathom Realty allows REALTORS® to keep more of their commission earnings than any other model I’ve seen. This is incredible for so many reasons! It’s more than having an increase in my income; it’s about taking the focus off of that constant pressure and drive to do more, more, more! With this model, there is a sense of abundance and an opportunity for contentment. There is more space for rest, care and balance – which lends itself to a better quality of life for Fathom’s agents. I can maintain my previous income while taking on fewer clients, giving me more energy to focus on my active transactions and follow leads. Or, I have the opportunity to significantly increase my income by just maintaining my previous sales volume. This allows me to give back more to my clients and my community both emotionally and financially.
What is your key to success?
This is a great question! I believe the key to my success has been the amazing community where I live. Astoria, Oregon, sits on the mouth of the Columbia River and is known for its gorgeous scenery. Moving back to my hometown over ten years ago was a stressful choice at the time; I wasn’t sure what direction my life was headed. I worked in the Food and Beverage Service industry for 20 years when I decided to change careers and pursued my real estate license. Since I started making steps toward a new career, I have felt fully supported by the wonderful members of this small river town. The last few years have proven to me that I made the right decision when I moved back home and have been able to thrive thanks to the support of my family and our incredible community. And I will continue to do my best to give back whenever I can!
What are your top three sources of business?
The majority of my clients are people I know – folks that I know from volunteering locally, from my previous jobs bartending, or even folks I went to high school with. I have been incredibly lucky to have the support of my friends and community members.

I am just grateful I found Fathom Realty at this point in my career, and I am excited to see where making this brokerage change will take me. Fathom encourages its agents to create their own brand, so I am working with another local REALTOR® to create a group that we will roll out in the next few months!
